Urban Apparel Magazine was started in 2007 to track the latest and greatest trends in “street” fashion.
What is Urban Apparel?
“Urban apparel” as a term is a bit of a catch-all phrase and euphemism for what many folks would call streetwear, hip-hop fashion, and skater/surfer look. Urban apparel, clothing, gear, wear, is heavily influenced by music and street culture (such as graffiti art, DJ and emcee wear, breakdancing and b-boying) as well as multi-cultural influence from European and Japanese fashion and fetish to indie scenes, handmade wear, and even some Goth. What is not covered under this catch-all are mass produced, high fashion, haute couture, formal wear, or sports wear. You won’t see those on our pages, but there are many other places to catch that coverage.
