Mizchif is an urban chic company for the Mindful Individual with Zeal, Courage, Integrity and Fortitude. That’s what Mizchif stands for, after all. I had the pleasure of speaking with Deneisha White who, with her husband, created this cutting edge company.

They have a very full collection that covers men’s and women’s apparel including t-shirts, sweat shirts, pants, shorts and blazers. They will be launching caps and their denim line this fall. “Denim is being worn religiously everywhere. We want to[.....]

There are your everyday run of the mill brands, and then there is the Legendary Convertible Bertt. Here is a brand with a truly innovative look at casual fashion. I had the pleasure of talking to Andre, one third of the Legendary Convertible Bertt’s founders.
As Andre explained, “Legendary Convertible Bertt is a conceptual brand that is trying to create our own lane as far as blending muscle cars and fashion. A lot of brands that you see in young men’s[.....]

Okay, okay, I know what you’re thinking when you hear the phrase “flip the bird” but I want you to forget all the derogatory meanings behind it because Tassho Pearce (aka EMIRC) will have you flipping over his clothing line “Flip The Bird”. Not only is Pearce a designer he is without a doubt Hawaii’s biggest Hip-Hop artist. Flip The Bird started out as Pearce’s own record label and after designing shirts to promote it, the shirts themselves began to[.....]

Skin Industries is known for its edgy designs that speak to the individual. It started 11 years ago as a Freestyle Motorcross (FMX) brand, and within two months it was the number one FMX brand. Skin also had huge overflow into the Supercross and Motorcross industries and soon it took off on everyone. I had the pleasure of speaking with the charming David Bocerello at the Skin Industries booth at MAGIC.
Bocerello explained that although Skin started as a FMX brand,[.....]

Maybe it’s the name, I’ll admit when I first heard it I paid attention, but there is something about Diesel that just makes me think “tough”. Tough like the street or the game or the hustle. A kind of tough that has kept Diesel rising over so many years. Focusing on jeans originally, Diesel now has over 300 stores in 80 countries from small boutiques to Nordstrom’s and Bloomingdale’s. Diesel – very bluntly – is red hot.
Even their ads are[.....]

This is one of those wonderful trends that look awesome on ladies and fellas! In the wake of Michael Jackson’s death (may he rest in peace) many guys have been checking out his military style jackets. Some are audacious enough rock his classic red leather with gold accents. But for those who want to nod at his style, without looking like they’re in full costume, try a jacket with lots of zippered pockets and some subtle epaulettes. The ones I[.....]

In a former life, Don Ed Hardy was a tattoo artist. Not just any ordinary tattoo artist but he was known as “the godfather of modern tattoo”. He was even awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the San Francisco Art Institute. You can see it in his designs, which are more dynamic and intricate than any other company out there. A stretch to say? Maybe… but if you track his success and influence, you can’t deny it. Don has a unique[.....]

Everybody’s Kung Fu Clothing… Ok, that’s not how the song goes, but if you sport these flashy pieces of apparel from Phenomenon you might get folks humming that tune.
Switching it up from their usual flamboyant prints and colorways, with the exception of a hoody, Japanese brand Phenomenon take it a bit more contemporary with easy going designs. Always innovative in some sense, they release a selection of accessories including bowtie necklaces alongside a kung-fu inspired tuxedo jacket highlighting the collection.

Man, these photos are sick. I mean sick! Look at them. Adidas has been working over time to prep for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and has me floored. I am a sucker for good advertising and when done well it brings the art form to another level all its own. And this time the winner is Adidas. The original kings of urban lifestyle fashion from way back in the day, Adidas has brought us so many fresh styles over the[.....]

Hip Hop and pop sensation, M.I.A. is taking her unique stage presence to the competitive fashion game. Talk about someone who stands out wherever they go. She is definitely a trend setter with her music and M.I.A. wants to bring her styles to the retro streetwear scene. M.I.A.’s music is organic and popping with fresh beats, so it’s no doubt that she will erupt with the flair and “bright lights big city” attitude she carries with her.
